I know this is a marsh marigold

This looked like a violet but its not violet!!!!

Black and white trillium

Started in my neighbors yard and the walked to the river through the woods and saw all sorts of flowers, most I dont know what they are cause I havent gone out and bought an identification book yet. Any recommendations?

Nice post, you are good with that camera!

Wildflower identification books- If you can check out the library, that way you can find a book you like before you buy it.

I like "Wildflowers in the Field and Forest: A Field Guide to the Northeastern United States" by Steven Clemants.

It has all the info on one page, picture-map-etc. but it does cost $26 on Amazon.

"What's Doin' the Bloomin'" is a good look at book and follows the seasons.

Newcomb's Wildflower Guide has lots of info but for me it is almost too technical, I don't have too much space in my brain to figure it all out, I like to keep it simple.

"Michigan Wildflowers" by Harry Lund is good. It is set into color groups, so if you see a blue flower you flip through the blue section, plus it's Michigan.

Another book that we have had for years and you probably could find used is "North American Wildlife" by Readers Digest. It has plants, animals, the works, I do like that book.

"Wildflowers of Michigan" by Stan Tekiela is good too. Also done in sections by color.

Hope that helps but definitely start at the library if you can.
