OUR AUGUST CAMPING TRIP

 Spent the last 2 weeks in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the Hiawatha National Forest     camping. The weather was perfect. Here are some of my favorite Pics.

TODAY! IT IS REALLY ALL WE HAVE

Here we are and another December 2cd , the day that stands out in my year. It is a day that i really do not look forward to but i look back at sometimes. It is just here in its magnificence today, Why so special? It was a day that i was given the gift of a new life. Everyone gets a chance to start over but for some reason they don't take it. I see it all the time, they may get the chance but they don't take it. Did I do anything special to get the chance? Nope! All I did is ask and I went from a guy that woke every morning with the thought of how i was going to get high or drunk that day to a guy that wakes up with the thought of what can I do to better myself or others. It was always there nagging at me ,that thought embedded deep in my being. Now it isn't there and i have come to the conclusion that my life was intervened by a power much more powerful than I, I call this Power God. Many people have different Names for God, I must just keep it simple. God is the name i choose. I try to thank God everyday for intervening and I ask God to be able to show someone else it is possible with them to get the chance to start another life, All they have to do is ask.

Life

 Thought i would just write and post pics of life of late.

Went on a great ride on the Motorcycle to Upper Michigan area on lake Huron  this is me lounging in a sand dune

The water was wonderful

We went camping in our little trailer in the remote area of Upper Michigan  The fishing was great and the views were awesome

 

           

My Son and his wife had a baby. Her Name is Ella.

                                                                                           

The chickens are thriving and producing more than enough eggs

                           Our garden produced very well this year. we learned chickens enjoy tomatoes and grapes Next year i will be fencing them off so that we will get a better Yield!

The Corona Coop

Before the Covid came around we decided to grow some chickens so i started building a chicken coop and it has kept me going while going thru this whole lockdown. a good friend gave us some adult Hens and a rooster we named chuck  we also bought 9 chicks to raise  the hens are giving us eggs

Today

Today is a day that stands out above all others for me, the fork in the road, the day i surrendered to change the way i was living. i went to a funeral this week and got a glimpse of what life would be like if i continued down the same road and not took the turn. thanks to all that have helped me.
