Dahlia

The flower of the day is the Dahlia. The Dahlia comes in many sizes. The one pictured here will get about 2 feet tall. Others can reach 4 to 5 feet and with some flower manipuation techniques the flower can get 1 foot across.

The flower of the day is the Peony. These are some real showy perennial bushes.

Sweet Alyssum

The flower of the day is Sweet Alyssum. Heidi said this fragrant flower just had to be the flower of the day. It is used in borders of flower gardens.

Ivy Geranium

The flower of the day is the Ivy Geranium. It is quite popular in Europe. 400 million are sold in Europe compared to 4 million in the United States. It is a very versatile flower to have in ones garden or flower pot.

aquilegia

The flower of the day is Aquilegia. This is a native perennial that has been bred for more showy blooms. I could not find a model for todays pic but this flower holds up just fine on its own.

Tuberous Begonia

The flower of the day definitely is in my top five all time favorite flowers. Presenting the "Tuberous Begonia"
