In search of a Loon

Headed out on the moto again, this time investigating a sighting of a loon in the Ionia recreation area. we saw what might have been one but it was so far away. we went hiking on some trails around the lake and it was very nice

Ride down River Road

Had a nice ride up north on the Moto and took a ride down River Road in the Huron National forest.These were old stomping grounds for me. The spring water was as good as ever. A bald Eagle soared over our heads when we got down to the river

Trip to the Rosy Mound

Had a wonderful trip to west Michigan.I have always wanted to check out the Rosy Mound Nature preserve so we stopped in and went for a hike, What a beautiful place this is!!!! A well kept Natural area where you walk thru the different stages of the dunes and end up on a non crowded stretch of Lake michigan beach. Had a dip in the lake and nice walk down the beach. We saw plants and flowers that I have never seen before, I cannot wait to go back!!!!!

Two years!!!!!!

The Special Happy Place

I was talking to my granddaughter Sami about the room she calls her room in my house and she said she wanted a picture of the river on her wall because it was her happy place. I have always found the spot we go to very comforting and have always gone there when troubled. There is a very strong presence of the spirit of the Universe there and I believe she has felt it before. I have never discussed this with her because she is so young.
